Dr. Ishwara Sharma's interest in building an electronic medical records business grew out of his own experiences running a medical practice.
A few years ago, he set out to equip his multi-specialty practice with technology to improve workflow and clinical documentation. The EMR systems on the market at the time were cumbersome to use and weren't designed with the day-to-day needs of physicians in mind. Most of them also had hefty licensing fees and maintenance costs.
Dr. Sharma, a longtime technology enthusiast, saw an opportunity to develop a better option for practices like his. His vision: an EMR should be simple to follow, intuitive, inexpensive and web-based.
Working closely with top-notch software engineers, Dr. Sharma and his team built emr4MD, a state-of-the-art EMR system. In 2008, SureScripts recognized two of MedNet's clients, ranking them No. 1 and No. 2 in the country for e-prescribing with our software.
In its continuing push for excellence, emr4MD successfully obtained CCHIT certification in 2008, as well as ONC-ATCB 2011/2012 , ONC-ATCB 2014 and ONC Certified HIT 2015 Edition certifications.
